SAIDIAN - a name to be remembered!
Founded by keyboard player Markus Bohr under the name of ARIA, the band from Esslingen, Germany in the year 2004 switched to the banner of SAIDIAN when their line-up finally was completed. SAIDIAN now consist of singer Markus Engelfried (ex- BRAIN DANCE), bassist Manuel Glassmann (ex- HORNY SPEED), drummer Stefan Dittrich (ex- KARKADAN) and guitarist Rodrigo Blattert (CITIZEN KANE). Blattert still may be remembered by some as live guitarist of fellow hard rockers PUMP. Once the line-up was fixed permanently, everything started to happen quickly.
The band entered well-know Maranis Studios in mid 2004 which is owned by former SANVOISEN singer Vagelis Maranis. Maranis took over the production of the debut album "For Those Who Walk The Past Forlorn". During the production period of the record, the SAIDIAN guys got in touch with local management Hardbeat Media Service (PUMP, GODIVA) who immediately fell in love with the material and offered them an helping hand. A record deal together was soon found by signing to AOR / METAL HEAVEN who were totally convinced by the quality of the material on the spot. A multi-album, world-wide record deal was signed soon.
SAIDIAN cross the borders of bands such as EDGUY, RAPSODY, STRATOVARIUS & ROYAL HUNT, and with songs as the likes of the speedy "Burn Down The Night", the Melodic Rock orientated "Lonely Nights" and the more complex "Heart Of Stone", SAIDIAN will find their place in the Melodic Metal circuit soon!
