18.09.2009 ::: 101 SOUTH - No U Turn :::  Album out November 20th, 2009! ::: During 1999, HARLAN CAGE keyboardist Roger Scott Craig assembled a new line-up of musicians under the banner 101 SOUTH. This project brought together many talented individuals, all seasoned and well-travelled veterans of the L.A. session scene. Joining Roger in the band were much sought after session vocalist Gregory Lynn Hall, guitarist Mike Turner, bassist Chris Julian and drummer Hans Geiger. When we compare 101 SOUTH to HARLAN CAGE, there are many similarities, but one thing stands out: the vocal prowess of Hall. He is like a stand-in for Lou Gramm (FOREIGNER) and Christian vocal hero Bob Carlisle (ex ALLIES) with his own style and distinction. The trademark keyboard work of Craig is ever present, while the songs mix all-out melodic power with delicate ballads. A compelling combination which just has to be heard. Memorable moments such as the surging AOR of 'Nowhere To Run' and 'Your Razor Is Sharp' (surely 'Dearborn Station' Part 2) and the soaring vocals Gregory Lynn Hall on "We took the wrong road" stand out among a collection of superior tracks on the album “101 South” from the year 2000. Two years later, and 101 SOUTH return with their sophomore release 'Roll Of The Dice' with another dose of pure timeless 'Class Rock'- great songs and incredible passion. Joining the band this time around is HARLAN CAGE cohort Billy Liesegang, giving 101 SOUTH even more guitar fuel. 12.08.2009 ::: GRAND DESIGN - Time Elevation ::: Album out October 23rd, 2009! ::: Pelle Saether former vocalist of Zeelion, Zello and Schizophrenic Circus and also producer/engineer for bands like Cryonic Temple, Axenstar, Steel Attack is now ready with a new band calllded GRAND DESIGN. It all had started in 2006 as a project inspired by bands such as Europe, Scorpions and Def Leppard. The first thing after writing all songs was to get hold of a good drummer. Richard Holmgren – a very talented drummer and former member of “Vanessa - now playing in Wolf joined Saether. Guitarist Peter Ledin (ex Vanessa) was next  – his style of playing is perfect for this project that now had turned into a band. This record is truly an expression of his lifes journey, a melodic hardrock album full of big choruses, strong grooves, showcasing past, present and future. 25.05.2009 ::: July Release ::: GEFF - Land Of The Free::: GEFF is a new all star group featuring some of Sweden’s finest and most talented heavy metal and hard rock musicians; Göran Edman (vocals), Anders Johansson (drums), Mats Olausson (keyboards) and Per Stadin (bass). The names may be recognized from such artists as Yngwie Malmsteen, Hammerfall, John Norum, Silver Mountain, Snake Charmer, Glory, Brazen Abbot, Jean Beauvoir and A.R.K, just to name a few. They have joined forces with guitarist and songwriter talent Ralf Jedestedt who makes his record debut with this album. Ralf is the actual brain behind GEFF. The story behind GEFF is quit simple. Ralf, an old time friend of both Per and Anders, played a couple of songs to Per, asking him if he would consider recording an album in his studio and also do the bass parts. Then they simply gathered a couple of highly regarded musicians, also old time friends, which are considered as being natural and important parts of the Swedish heavy metal and hard rock history. Göran helped Ralf to complete the songs and the arrangements were done by the group. Jens Johansson (keyboards), of Stratovarius fame, was hanging out at the studio at one occasion. He was asked to do a guest appearance on one of the album tracks. He came up with what might be one of his best solos ever. The members strongly believe in GEFF. 10.02.2009 ::: AOR HEAVEN sign Canadian Rock legends HELIX!!! ::: AOR HEAVEN is proud to announce that they have licensed HELIX' as yet untitled studioalbum for the territory of Europe. HELIX has been active in the past several years with several releases. THE POWER OF ROCK AND ROLL was released in 2007 to critical reviews. Their latest release, A HEAVY MENTAL CHRISTMAS, was released in all Canadian Wal-mart stores this November and received airplay world-wide. The CD also received great reviews from the critics. "We expect this CD to be a continuation of those two CDs", says producer/co-writer Gord Prior. "The knowledge we gained from working on those two discs is going to make this one a much more cohesive effort, even though we thought those two discs were some of the best ever released by the band. He started to tour at the age of 13 and was in bands like Scratch and Seventeen. 05.02.2009 ::: METAL HEAVEN March 2009 releases: NASTY IDOLS - Boys Town::: 1988 they released their first single Don’t Walk From Love. They got signed and started to record the debut album. With the release of Gigolos On Parole, 1989 the band started to earn the reputation of being one of the hottest new rock acts in Scandinavia. With good looks and gutsy singalong glam/metal anthems the band achieved lots of publicity - mostly for their on and off stage antics, all in the fast lane; sex, drugs and rock n’ roll. Their second album Cruel Intention turned out to be a lucky strike for the band. The album was recorded 1990 in between gigs and tours just as the L.A way of sleaze/glamrock was at its peak. With the release of Cruel Intention, 1991 they became an icon in the genre, the number one sleazerock band from Scandinavia. The music videos for Cool Way Of Living, Can’t Get Ya’ Off My Mind and Trashed N’ Dirty was on heavy rotation on MTV Headbangers Ball and other territories - U.S, UK, Germany and Japan began to show interest in the band. Nasty Idols approached a harder type of sleazerock on their third album. Other bands in the genre was giving in because of the grunge hype and lost of popularity. Nasty Idols carried on with their rock n’ roll crusade and released Vicious in October, 1993 in Europe and Japan. The album spawned two music videos; Heads Down In Tinseltown and Ain’t Got Nothing. Nasty idols decided to split up around 1995 just as the recording of the fourth album Heroes For Sale was completed. The years after the break-up of Nasty Idols their four original albums including two Best Of has been reissued several times with U.S and Worldwide sales. Nasty Idols was re-united 2006 and did the Rejects On The Road Tour with gigs in Scandinavia, Italy and U.K. 2008 the band entered the studio to record what’s gonna be their fifth album. The album with the title Boys Town will be released in early 2009.   Armed with scarfs, make-up, hairspray, bleached and black hair with influences of Kiss, Sweet, New York Dolls and Alice Cooper Nasty Idols was formed in Malmoe, Sweden in the summer of 1987 by vocalist Andy Pierce and bassist Dick Qwarfort.
